two of my favorite groups
Sometimes, when I see things that are extremely relevant to my interests, I make a noise that can best be described as “eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee” while softly clapping my hands, which is why I only check tumblr from the safety of my bedroom where the only thing that can judge me is a Furby with no batteries.

Carry this burden now until the moment of your last breath.
Old Mary, full of grease,
Your heart stops within you.
Scary are the fruits of your tomb,
and harsh are the terms of your sentence.

In And Out Of Lightness - Young Widows
Tried to make a summer specific list of life goals today, but gave up when I realized half of it was just a list of albums that need to be playing while someone touches my butt. Get at me if you like Young Widows, buds.
Also, does this song make anyone else think of the Foot Clan, or is that just a weird thing my brain does?
Perhaps we shouldn’t have a camera after all.
Just a bunch of dudes bonding over boners, no big deal. Also, this is probably the first time that my “boner blogging” Tumblr tag is (almost) factually accurate. So, there’s that. Really though, Tumblr buds, do yourselves a favour and start listening to this band alreadyyyyyy.

I’m starting to think that I’ve been doing this music thing long enough to stop being polite/keeping my mouth shut about ‘music journalists’ who talk out their ass, maybe it’s time to start being a bit more honest myself. This lovely review of my apparent chubbiness is a good place to start I think.
“Teenage Kicks is like a bunch of white tattooed guys playing street hockey that perhaps used to play in a hard rock post modern band sometime in the 90′s but now play a mixture of hill-billy exclusively Canadian rock that resembles a melange of Bruce Springsteen meets Tom Cochrane. They have a solid drummer, and the lead singer has a good voice. But even for someone like me who finds a bit of chubbiness attractive the lead singer’s jiggly belly was a bit of a distraction to the music (don’t wear such tight tank tops, dude? You’re not a skinny hipster). They did do an AWESOME cover of Helter Skelter, though.” - Rina Rosen, Grayowlpoint.
Fuck off.
- Peter
What they said: “But even for someone like me who finds a bit of chubbiness attractive…”
What they meant: You can be chubby, and that’s okay, but only if you do it in a way that I consider visually appealing.
Get fucked, Rina Rosen. I get having a personal preference about what you like musically, but this isn’t it. There are so many awesome things to say about this band, and they clearly missed the mark.

Saw Teenage Kicks last night, got a $42 parking ticket, still considering it an overall pretty decent time.
Hello fellow Kickers,A few months ago a very good friend of ours began putting together a short film about the recording of our new EP and although the six minutes of footage we had of Jeff using a pitch shifter and saying, ‘Hello Sailor’ was left out, I still think he did a pretty darned good job and we’re very excited for you all to finally see it.
The documentary was directed by the award winning (best-friend 2007, 2009 and 2010) filmmaker Sean Egerton Foreman and features still photography by the very awesome Chris Payne.
If you have either film or photography needs in the future we highly recommend both of these talented gentlemen.
Enjoy!

I just have all the heart eyes in the world for this band, and you should too.
